SpinControl Gearing

SpinControl Gearing LLC (“SpinCo”) of Lake Wales, Florida was formed in 2005 to
develop a new energy-saving gear technology. The SpinCo Gear system has high
growth potential and would improve the performance of a myriad of products for both
commercial and government applications. Mechanical systems currently using
conventional gearing can be retrofitted or replaced with this advanced technology.

SpinCo Gears utilize a worm screw engaged with a gear wheel having rotatable pins
instead of fixed teeth. Power is transmitted through the gear system solely by roller
bearing components thus reducing friction and increasing efficiency. Independent
laboratory testing conducted in Michigan has validated the superior performance
characteristics of this unique gear technology. SpinCo Gears are compact right angle
drives that can be designed to be considerably smaller than other conventional gear
systems. SpinCo Gears can achieve high or low single reduction ratios ranging from
3.5:1 to over 300:1 and provides balanced load distribution which greatly increases
torque capability while functioning quietly and cool.

The direction of transmission of a SpinCo Gear is reversible and therefore can be
used as either a speed reducer or speed increaser. In other words, it can be back
driven with ease. This is due to the reduction of friction achieved by SpinCo’s rolling
gear contact. Whether driving the gear wheel or screw, SpinCo Gears offer a
combination of both compactness and outstanding power transmission efficiencies.
